Gutermann Maraflex (Elastic Thread)

These are grouped by “Black, White, Ivory and Cream”, “Yellow, Brown and Orange”, “Red, Pinks and Purples“, “Blues and Greens“, “Greys“ and “Fluorescent”.  The Maraflex thread numbers are the same numbers as those used for the Gutermann Sew All thread.

Elastic sewing thread with high stretch for flexible seams using a straight stitch. Ideal for sewing  around necklines, tight seams and sleeve and leg cuffs – perfect for active wear, underwear, swimwear, footwear and general clothing where stretch fabric is used.

Sew with as little thread tension as possible and use thread in both the needle and bobbin. Optimal seam elasticity with 4 stitch/cm. Maraflex adapts to the stretch of knitted and elastic woven fabrics and can retain up to 80% elasticity in the seam stretch, without compromising the seam design and quality.

Ideal to use on light to medium-weight knitwear, for example jersey, or light to medium weight elastic woven fabrics, fabrics containing elastane.

A smooth 100% polyester thread produced using MCT (Micro core technology).

Ideal for using with a needle: Jersey/stretch 70/80.

Thread can be washed up to 60 degrees.
